Last to last saturday on the last period of school, a person came to our class & spoke about an examination called “T.I.M.E”. If we won the first rank in that exam, they would give Rs.5000 + free IIT coaching. The person told the venue of the exam, fees, timings & such other things. The main thing was they would give questions about physics, chemistry, maths & reasoning in the examination. I thought it would be easy & decided to go.
The next day when i saw the paper [i don't read papers often] in the third sheet, they had given about the exam, with much more details. Even my mom saw it & she forced me to take up the exam. I agreed & payed the fees to the teacher.
When i went to school, my friend told that he would also come with me to the exam because he didn’t knew the route to go to the examination hall. The venue was St.Joseph’s European High School which was in MG road. I hadn’t gone to MG road often. So i just gave a try to search in the net. In the net, i saw that there were two St.Joseph’s schools. I got confused. To confirm, i asked my friend itself & finally i marked that place.
On the examination day, i got up at 7:00 [we had to assemble there at 8:45]. I packed all my things such as hall ticket, pencil box, exam pad etc. After all these duties, me & my mother were waiting for my friend. At last, he came & we left. I was asking him whether he had read, how would it be…blah blah blah. We arrived at the SBI but were again confused where exactly the venue was. We asked a few people & finally arrived at the venue.
I was thinking that there would be 50 or 100 people, but to my surprise there were 1000’s & 1000’s of the people taking part in the exam. It was so crowded that, we really had to push the people & take the seal. After taking the seal, we went to the auditorium where a few of my friends were there. I was talking to them & spending the time.
Finally a person announced that the 8th standard students should go to the first floor classrooms. My mother wished me luck & i went. When i stepped into a classroom, i was totally amazed!!But there was no time for my amazement, as the exam had to start. They had told that the exam would begin at 9:00. So waited till 9. It didn’t begin. Me & my friends started to talk about Sivaji [Oh!the greatest film ever in which the actors had spent eighty crores. It is one of India's costliest movies] As my friend had seen, he told the story, climax & other things.
After a long time, the people who conduct the exam came & distributed the papers. When i saw my watch, it was 10:15. We hadn’t knew that we had spent 1 hour 15 minutes talking about the movie!!!They told that the time was only 1 hour to answer 80 questions. Then, i made my mind to be serious & started to write the exam.
The first branch was maths. It had 20 questions. It felt it was a little tough, but tried to answer it. The next branch was physics. It also had 20 questions which was even tougher than maths. Next came reasoning. It was very easy that i could finish all the 20 questions in just 5 minutes. And…..the last was chemistry. It was the toughest!!!I hope that i have answered atleast 10 out of 20.
After we finished the exam, we went down in search of my mother. By that time my mother was coming up. I told her everything.
The result was….i had got 18 marks out of 80!!![never mind because it was very tough]
